why?
For a number of reasons.
1: Sony filed predatory lawsuits against lik-sang.com. You can look up the matter yourself but the underlying attack was based on Sony saying what you can do with a Sony product after you have purchased it. Sony wants to take away the right of resale. So if you buy a Playstation3, Sony doesn't believe you have the right to resell it a garage sale. This is a slap in the face and is in direct contradiction to established consumer law.
2: Sony installed root kits on the computers of their own customers in order to control the user's computer and prevent Sony music cds from being copied. Not only is it completely legal to copy a CD, Sony burp over their customers by opening their systems to all sorts of problems.
Face facts - Sony has a history of shitting all over their own customers. They are an evil criminal organization and I will never again support these pieces of baconnaise. If we lived in a just world, these burp would be getting sodomized by bears right now.

Does not take SD/SDHC memory card. It takes Sony's Memory Stick Pro Duo. Takes decent pics. Pretty good price for a 12 magapixel camera. Macro capabilities disappointing.
For a minute I though Sony had finally seen the light & switch to SDHC instead of pushing thier overpriced Memory Stick Duo.
Of course this camera DOES NOT SUPPORT SDHC as usual for Sony.
