this camera is cheap! but... does anyone know if the performance is any good? sony has way too many cameras on the market to ever know which one is good and which one is crap. i guess that is why they do it... to confuse people and sell more cams.

This sounds like a really good deal based on reviews I read. The only thing holding me back is that is uses Sony storage (Memory Stick).

#2, what is your reservation about sony storage? The price is cheap now, so that shouldn't be a big deal. It performs just as well if not better than other formats out there. If you're worried about being able to use it in other devices, ask yourself if you really think you would use it elsewhere or just like the idea that you can use it in more places? In the past, whatever memory my camera used tended to stay in that camera.

Great Camera,,,,,NO VIEWFINDER....which you will WANT and NEED on a sunny day if your trying to take photos outside.....

I owned an earlier version and was very happy with it.

Sony is not as reliable as they used to be. I would rather get a Canon.

The memory stick is as bad as Sony DRM, I use SD cards in the cameras, they go in the photo frames, and plug into the laptop.
