Steves Digicams takes a look at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W150:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_reviews/sony_w150.html
sony sucks, and so does todd
Some of the features on these cameras tempt me, but every time I consider the Sony cameras, I remember: Memory Stick. Do they realize that in continuing to push their proprietary format, they lose business? Maybe they make it up selling the cards though...
I actually went the Casio Exilim Z150 (and love it) over the Sony and the Olympus because of the memory card.
I would consider it but Sony is the home of drm on disks and the annoying memory stick. Not quite as annoying as the xd cards that fuji and olympus used to use.
Memory stick means "don't buy" to me
This is not a deal...
For that price range I'd rather have the Canon SD770 (10 MP) or even the less expensive SD1100 (8 MP).
The memory stick is not a big deal. I got a "Lexar Platinum II 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo" for $24 on black Friday. It holds almost 3000 photos.
Memory Stick Duo Pro required. The SD is easier to buy.
Cannon SD770 only have optical 3X
This is available with a carrying case at Costco for 164.99 at both stores on the north side of Indy.
30mm on the wide end is hard to come by in a camera this compact. Panasonic FX33 or Canon SD870IS are some of the few to go that wide or wider
