Can I plug a mic into this?
does this thing actually take SD cards? I hate memory sticks.
This isn't a bad camcorder, but I would probably get an HDR-SR12 instead.
I havethe HDR SR11 and it is a great camcorder. Best I've seen or owned. Takes memory stick and that is the only drawback for me.
It's got a 120GB HD, why would you need or care about memory sticks?
You can add a mic, exterior flash, etc. It has the face recognition which is rather nice. It is one of the best out there and this price is as low as I've seen them. jthoresen is right, at 120GB HD, you don't really need any flash cards. I think it takes up to 10 hours of video. I think this is the one with the optional boom mic that you can point at your subject or go wide to pull from speakers in an auditorium.
