Sony has the Sony NSZ-GT1 Google TV Blu-ray Disc Player for $400 with free shipping. Features full GoogleTV integration, WiFi, built-in Blu-ray Disc player with BD-Live 2.0, Android and iPhone compatibility, QWERTY keypad remote control, an Intel processor and, in early 2011, will be able to download apps from the Android Market.
PS3 is by far the better value at $299. This device will have its place in the home, but the price is still to high for what it is. There are other sony blu-ray players that stream internet content for less money. No google OS, but your phone probably already has that
I have this device and there are some big issues like lack of MKV and xvid support, a slow browser, very few apps and so far, I've yet to see the Android app on the marketplace.
Why would I buy this when I can get a TiVo with lifetime content management for $473? TiVo replaces the cable companies HD DVR and saves me almost $20 money every month. Plus, the TiVo streams internet content very well.
Wait a second. You're buying a product based on features it doesn't have yet, that will be added in the future. You're trusting SONY to do this, the same guys who upgraded the PS3 to do half of what it did at launch. The same SONY that tells you to wait an hour after turning on your game system, because it needs to disable another feature before you can start using said game system to game.
Might grab one of these when my Sony Card $200 sign up bonus comes in.

Google TV is yet another half baked product come to market looking for a bunch of paying beta testers.

Does anybody see a problem with this?
