that's pretty cheap, esp for an 8GB.
I'm in need of a new MP3 player

#3 yes its a great deal...the sound quality is fantastic and comes with excellent earbuds. Crystal clear highs, deep quality bass. No messy Sony proprietary software to deal with either- its all drag and drop. Check any MP3 website- this player gets fantastic reviews everywhere and rightly so. Its being sold off cheap everywhere now only because Sony has replaced it with a newer model, including a 16GB which is really sweet. The silver color is exclusive to the Sonystyle website and is the one I got. Its really nice looking but a little small and slippy in the hand so you definetley will have to get a case too. I have the Sony leather case but I may also pick up the silicon pack of 2 (1 white, 1 black) before they are sold out for good. Theres also a clear plastic case which looks great but tends to scratch easily I've read.
Anyway, I'm extremely picky about sound quality and put off buying an MP3 player for years due to the awful sound from all of them. Even iPods sound like junk to me. This little beauty however really exceeded my expectations. You can really tweak the sound too with a built in graphic equalizer. I give it 9/10.
