2 weeks ago blu ray burners were 120. now they are getting cheap like # two's mom
This Sony Optiarc BR-5100S is read-only instead of Sony Optiarc BC-5100S. I think zipzoomfly made a mistake.

Read carefully, nowhere does it say it is a write drive. all it say is that it plays Blu-ray Disc movies as well as recorded 25GB BD-/BD-RE, 50GB DL BD-R/RE amd DVDx and CDs.
This is NOT a R or RW BR.
Of course not, Sony doesn't want to facilitate cheap duplication by their smarmy customers.
Sony is a joke.
The headline on this deal says BURNER. The last line is "Burns DVD+/-R at 12x, DVD+/-RW at 6x, and DL discs at 4x." But, it isn't a burner. Norman, please coordinate!
Zipzoomfly corrected that already. It definitely is not a burner.
Still seems like a decent deal? the LG on newegg is 100 OEM but also plays HD DVD.

I realize the general consensus is "i hate sony, I wont buy one of these until it is $10", but is this a decent deal right now?
