I want one so bad but I'm waiting for the color versions to come to US shores. Besides it seems like it's almost time for a PS2
For 70 more I can get a Wii, I'd rather get that.
Just so you all know, adding the $3.99 RCA DVD+R media qualifies you for the discount:

The question is, can you get a Nintendo Wii? PSP's are available everywhere in abundant quantities. I got one for my gf at Wal-mart for 169.99 on Black Friday.
By the way, I have a Sony Playstation 3 I am selling, includes a SIXAXIS controller, 2 games- Resistance & Call of Duty 3, and Blu-Ray DVD of Talladega Nights.
email me at dominicinco@aol.com if interested. I take paypal or can meet you in SF for cash.
last i checked, the wii wasn't portable.
i carry my wii in my pants. hows that for portability
The PSP is a must have especially if you plan or already have the PS3. I am so excited that they finally came out with the Sega Genesis Collection for the PSP! I love the Phantasy Star series of games and all the classics from back in the days.
#2 is right. Why you'd want a PSP is beyond me. They use a different format for movies. I'd rather have a Wii, but then I wouldn't buy that either.
The PSP is meant for 'Portable' gaming. It's not a true comparison to a Wii, which is for the home.
Why would anyone get a psp for movies anyway? PSP movies cost more than dvd movies, and most movie studios already stopped producing movies on UMDs. You get a portable gaming system for games on the go. If you want to watch movies on the go, then you get a portable dvd player.
Yeah, I guess I just don't know why one needs portable gaming. To each their own I guess, but IMO unless you travel a lot you don't need it.
My point was that they should have made the PSP capable of playing standard DVD's. I would definitely be more interested in one if that were the case.
For everyone that would get a Wii instead, can you please tell me where to get one?
I'm not being funny either. I don't have time to camp out, and I dont' need a bundle. Just a Wii and an extra controller.
And yeah, I know ebay, but I'm not made out of money either. It's just this thread makes it sound like anyone can get a Wii just by walking into a store or something... it's not that easy, cause I'd LOVE to get a Wii.
#11, I think the point was that you can get a Wii at some point for only a little bit more. It was about quality for price, not availability.
As for me, I'll just go the PC route soon enough. If I did get a console though I'd get a PS3 when the time is right.
If you want a console now though keep your eyes on this site for an Xbox 360. The Kmart and Overstock deals were good recently. With the Kmart deal you could have had a 360 Platinum Edition for about $335 shipped.
Wii by far is the better system for this Holiday season. Wiihaveaproblem.com is hilarious, espeically page 3. LOL

I bought 1 (Entertainment pack for 249$ comes with PSP,1GB memory stick, 1 game & 1 movie) as I travel for business now and then, so gives me something to do on the flights & waiting in the airports. In terms of movies, you can just take any DVD and convert it to a PSP compatible format, and put it on a memory stick....with up to 4GB now, and 8GB coming in the near future, you got plenty of room.....as well as being able to play MP3's, if you don't have an iPod as well.
PSP sucks and is overrated.
#14, that's cool. Like I said later, if you travel it'd be nice. I'm not the best with tech stuff, but since you can convert things that's nice.
screen is to small. They need foldable Lcd screens. Gameboy. DS Lite PSP.. All to small for any type of pleasure. Anytime I see people playing these they are squinting.
Hey can someone help me out here. Which is better, the PS3, the xbox, the Wii, or this?
Thanks.
#17, they aren't squinting, they are asian
#18, I'd take the PS3. IMO you get more as it functions as a Blu Ray player. Also for gaming it sounds like it should be the best. I think it even has some backwards capability with older Playstation games if you want that. You'd do well to wait though until the hype dies down unless you can find a reasonable price.
