this version (2000) is hackable, the psp 3000 is not hackable

the 2000's are not all hackable!!!! most of the ones for sale now are TA-088v3 motherboards that are not hackable. I dont know if you can tell from the package or not, but I got one about 6 months ago and it is a TA-088v3 that is not hackable. So your best bet is a 1st gen phat if you want to hack for sure.
