Ends 10/12. Moofi.woot! has the Sony SGPT211US/S Tablet P 4GB 5.5" Tablet (AT&T) for $180 + $5 shipping = $185 shipped. Features dual 5.5" 1024 x 480 screens and a slim folding design.
The only good attribute here is the fact that it folds up into something like the size of an eyeglass case that can fit in a jacket packet breast pocket. Otherwise, the reviews are are pretty bad. I did play with one for a few minutes once in a Sony store and it did not seem all that bad. The folding feature alone might make it worth considering.
Agreed. There are two 5.5" screens. It's very difficult to use an app not designed for these screens, and split across these screens, so you wind up using the app only on one screen. Many modern phones come pretty close to this size and resolution, and many even exceed it.
#2, fragmentation is hard to avoid when you have an open ecosystem. Apple's wall garden approach has its own benefits and drawbacks. Which is better largely depends upon who is asking and what they need.

You have to buy this tablet to fully experience the meaning of Android market fragmentation.
Yeah, I don't see how this has any benefit to someone that already owns a smartphone.
