#1 no, it does not actually analyze the sound. It is effectively a loudness meter with several steps (5 I think) and all the bars move at the same time. They're artificially staggered to give the illusion of deferent frequencies, but it's always the same 5 or so steps.
It seems that here are always little bitches getting in slap fights on this site.
