I bought a previous model of this when the audio card in my laptop fried. It was great, it sounded better than my laptop and there are some buttons on it that you can turn on for it to improve the sound quality too of regular audio. It was also nice to have that convenient knob handy to adjust audio and mute audio.

that's pretty slick but I still prefer the cards that go into the computer. USB can be a pain in the butt some times. But I could definitely see this doing very well in a laptop scenario

i have always wanted since customizing sound on a laptop is mostly and strictly limited to software. this would be very nice aside from the mixed reviews it has on newegg..

I heard this card doesn't work for vista, anyone have any experience with that?
