Amazon has Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop App (Android) on sale for $0 downloaded. Acess all computer applications, documents, and media remotely with a tablet. iTunes also has it (iPhone & iPod or iPad) for $0 downloaded.
It works good but its not free. Try using it to control your PC outside your lan and you have to buy a subscription by the month to be able to do that. I removed it completely.
Why is this news? This has always been free for LAN use. Get the optional package to use remotely and you're paying $10/mo. That's $120 a year for software on the Android - ridiculous.
I paid $5 for this a year ago and have been pretty happy with it. Great way to watch movies stored on my PC, on my ipad. Love it when I'm on the treadmill.

Just use RealVNC. One time fee on each PC or Mac and your Android or iPhone.
