Will it absorb heavy metals?
The side of a stainless steel sink if you have one, or the side of a knife (if you're careful) works just as well. I was skeptical, but stainless steel really does remove garlic odor from hand. Works best if you do it immediately after touching garlic, and works much better than washing with water alone.
Why not use a spoon instead of a knife?
