#1 this is a Manager chair. If you want a thicker one you need to look at the Chairman's chair or better yet the Command in chief's chair.

i had this chair, not that good arms are made weak plastic, i had both arms break on different occasions. better ponying up an extra 50 bucks and get something better

These are not sized for your average lard butt, and the armrest support is close to the front, where they may not get you close enough to the desktop if you are not an average lard butt.
No more cheapie chairs for me. Being a lard butt, this is way too flimsy. You get what you pay for. Got a $250 office chair on clearance for $130 last year at Office Depot. It's heavy and solid and feels like it'll last.
