Newegg has the Syma S108G Marines 3ch RC Helicopter for $19 with free shipping. Features 3 channel remote for up, down, left, right, forward, and backward control and flying time 5-8 minutes, charging time 20 minutes.
These little hilies are fun to play with but not strong enough to take outside. Also, if you hit anything the blades will break and replacement blades are typically more than the heli itself.....i know been there done that!
I completely disagree with @jefferson1964. I have owned three syma helis for over a year. my two brothers also have two a piece and we bought/shipped two for our cousin serving in Afghanistan. Collectively, we have never broken a single rotor blade. The leading edge of the blades will get nicked up, but the copters will still fly. Blades are cheaply replaced...as is every other part. You can fly them outside (with no or very little wind) and in low light (just before dusk or at night time). can't fly in daylight because the controller is infrared. Folks, these things are tough, easy and cheap to fix, and are SO much fun. THE BEST ~$20 "toy" you can buy for a kid...or a big kid (35yo), like me. No-brainer. Just make sure the heli you buy has "g" in the model number. S102g, S109g, S108g, s111g, s107g. Would't recommend the S026g chinook.
Whether a blade breaks depends on what it hits. Regardless of being infrared, nothing this small is very good outside as the slightest breeze will thrash it who knows where.
Agree, super fun. I did mange to break a tail rotor once when I "landed" on the kitchen counter but the chopper fell backward onto the floor and right on to the tail rotor. However mind came w/ an extra tail rotor so I was back in business in 3 minutes.

More expensive than $5?
