What happens if I want to add resource hogging, productivity hindering, and speed throttling bloatware to only ONE computer?

Is it 3 times as effective?

No, that is what McAfee is for. McAfee will do all the things you list above and it is only 1/3 as effective.

But really, these rebates are a joke. Norton has turned it around the last 3 years and is in the ball park for AV software (pre-2009, forget about Norton). If you need an AV that is lite on your system get Eset NOD32.
