^ I don't think you understand how rebates work. There has to be some effort on the part of the buyer to deter a few people. Remember that by offering the rebate they aren't just giving away the software for free, they are also paying for rebate processing.
However if you would like to start a business where all products and services offered cost $0 without a rebate, I'm sure it will be popular though not all that profitable.
Why not make it $100 with a $100 rebate. Just offer the product at a fair price and I might buy it but if there is a rebate, you can keep it.
