Last time I tried Norton it wasn't worth this price--too much of a CPU hog. That was probably the 2008 or 2009 version. Any better these days? I'm using MSE on my notebook, and AVG on my XP-64 workstation. We have McAfee at work and it slows things down noticeably.

McAfee sucks even with enterprise version.
Try NIS now and you never feel regret.
The Norton Antivirus doesn't slow down your computer. 2011 and 2012 both are fine. I wouldn't touch the Internet Security version.
Microsoft Security Essentials is all you need and it's free without a rebate.
