Newegg has the Symantec Norton Internet Security 2013 3-User for $55 - $55 rebate [Exp 3/24] = $0 with free shipping. It covers all the bases, including phishing Web sites, identity theft protection, Rootkit detection, email scanning, and automatic updates.
Don't know how Norton rates these days, but they lost me so greatly years ago with their bloated, invasive software. Once it was on your system even uninstalling it did not totally uninstall it. It lurked in your registry.
Norton usually rates at or near the top of the pack. It used to have major problems in the past and still gets ripped on for it but they got their act together and now provide an effective, product that isn't any more of a resource hog or buggy that any of the others. I find Norton to be less intrusive and automatic than many of the others and is a good thing for less PC savvy types. I usually get the Fry's deal that comes out 2 -3 times a year that includes this and 3 User Norton Utilities, and 1 user Ghost for free after typically $70 rebate. I have always gotten the rebate. True there are other similar products many freeware that can do the same things but I like the seamlessness of how all the Norton ones work together. If you don't want the Utilities or Ghost give them away or ebay them. My 2 cents and to each their own....
zero is too expensive for this crappy product
No, it's a great product actually. But at the price of $55, I'll pass. Never think you can get $55 rebate these days from Symantec.
#1 is right. You'll have to spring for a real antivirus to find the malware that infect norton.

No problem running Norton's Security Suite on 7 different systems, and no problem with Symantec rebates.
