T-Mobile has the T-Mobile Prepaid Sim Card Activation Kit for $0 with free shipping. GSM-phone ready and includes 10 minutes starter airtime. The T-Mobile Prepaid Micro Sim Card Activation Kit is also available for the same price.
When did this change? I mean, I thought every prepaid phone came with a few minutes of airtime upon activation just so you could test that the phone worked before putting money into addt'l airtime for it.
Well I got two, the limit. They do require a credit number to order (good thing I have Citi Bank virtual credit card numbers) I set the limit to $2. When i sell an unlocked GSM phone on Ebay I include one of these "free" cards.
#4, I am taking a cue from #1. How many minutes were included in the previous deals? Maybe this deal includes 10 min, but that information is not on the t-mobile page.
^ I'm not sure if this link will work but it's for the Q&A on the sim card and it mentions 10 minutes included as of 21 mo. ago (halfway down the page, or use the webpage search box on the Click Here linked Q&A tab to search for "10"):
^ you might be able to use the minutes to send texts too, there is probably some monetary value assigned to the minutes in their system, with texts on the pay as you go charged at 10 cents each. It would be a little strange if they did prevent texting on the starter minutes since that is one thing people like to test.
Think you may be right on the money, #9, that varying money value depending on the mode of usage. That maybe why #1 did not get the full 10 min because other than 'verbal' mode might have been used.
Worst customer service of all the cell companies. I bought a prepaid phone with free $50 airtime card offer. Card did not come with the phone, called them, arguing with several CS reps for 45 minutes before they finally accepted responsibility. Bastards!!
Didn't include 10 minutes of starter airtime the last time I bought this.
H2O wireless is my choice.
Ben, t-mobile site does not say anything about the 10-min starter airtime. Could you clarify where that came from?

Thanks for the link, #7.
They got rid of this:
It says "Includes 10 minutes of starter airtime with nationwide calling, voicemail, messaging, and more.",
Because of this question:
does that mean, i can use free 10 minutes for even text messaging? or 10 text messages? i don't understand.
And the answer:
The connection is for verbal communication [ONLY].

Free is good. In for two.
