T-Mobile has the T-Mobile Rocket 4G Prepaid Data Stick for $20. Includes free $15 prepaid data refill card with purchase. Features microSD slot with up to 32GB expandable memory.
could this be purchased and used later or is it like a prepaid cell/SIM where it comes activated and you have to put the prepaid card on it within about 3 months else the stick expires?
It expires monthly. You pre-pay $15, $25, $30 + for the refill card and once you activate the card, the countdown begins regardless of how much data you use. It gives you the start and end date and how much data you have purchased to run @ the highest possible download speed, go over the data limit and your left with a horrific slow crawl connection until that monthly cycle is up. Rinse repeat.

Looks like the $15 card is only good for a week.
I will buy this kind of prepaid stuff if the credit never expire
