Contrary to self-defense gurus these were designed for semi-truck drivers who needed to check the trailer tires in the dark. If the cargo is valuable then it is a team drive and probably one or both have a shotgun to return nasty bullet wounds in kind.

IOW, these may be illegal to carry in your locale. Check with the police (e "gendarmes"). I live in Massachusetts so I won't even bother to check as everything is illegal here. You need a concealed carry permit just to carry pepper spray!
