Have had one for more than 3 years and no problems, but don't use it very often so my experience doesn't necessarily reflect durability.
UFO aliens don't like these things because they interfere with their brain scanning machines. It's reported that if you have one of these things in your house and an aliens scan in your home, they'll zap with their energy ray so it can no longer work...
Also note that if you run one of these thing around a person with a pacemaker, they usually end up pissing their pants, fall to the floor and can't remember what happened until after the appliance is switched off...
