I have the 16GB version. It isn't fast, but it is USB 2.0, so I wouldn't really expect it to be.
I got a free 16gb one with Turbo Tax... it is freaking slow to copy files to this thing... it's not USB 2.0, more like USB 1.0 or serial bus. not sure why, but it is definitely not fast with this thing. since it was free, it is OK, but i would not recommend anyone to buy it.
