$5 is cheap enough so you can buy one and play with it. Kids love to see color change when water flow. This will last for about a month then it's fall apart; simply because the force of the water is too great and will break the seal at the end where the water finally come out. Also, the "universal" adapter that included so that you can screw it into your "existing" faucet is not quite "universal" as they claim. Seems like it's "universal" for most Asian Country Faucet but not American; I have to use a lot of "Teflon" tape to seal the water from getting out (spray all over) where the joint is.

Not just waste of water, but may also a waste of energy, if the kid wants to see the color and use hot water when there is no need to etc.....
Not to mention that by the time this indicator turns color, you have already wasted a bit of water/energy.

Don't bother, its junk. If you flow water full blast, it will come apart. My kid tried to fix it, he cross threated the thing so bad is useless now. Didn't last an hour in my house. Cool idea, very crappy design.
