Ben's Bargains Serving Fresh Deals 24/7
Through November 30th, Audible is offering a $10 credit for every 4 audiobooks purchased (with a "regular" price of $14.95+) and up to a $20 credit max. You can fulfill the requirement for the $20 credit by purchasing the required 8 audiobooks from Amazon.com (same company) for free. If you love classic novels and have the patience, follow these steps:
  • 1. Sign in at Audible.com with your Amazon account info. Enter your address information.
  • 2. Purchase at least 8 of these free classic Kindle books from this Amazon.com page. (Or search for them directly on Audible.com. Each book has a "regular" price over $14.95.) Select a book and then click "Buy now with 1-Click."
  • 3. After you click "Buy now," you will see Whispersync for Voice on the next page. Click "Buy at Audible.com" for $0.00. You will then see the audiobook version appear in your Audible.com shopping cart.
  • 4. Go back to this Amazon.com page and repeat steps #2 and #3 for the rest of the books. (It's recommended to open up a new tab or window for each book you buy.)
  • 5. Once you have at least 8 of these books in your Audible.com shopping cart, click "Next Step."
  • 6. On the final checkout page, the total will be $0. Click "Complete Purchase" and the free audiobooks will download.
  • 7. On the Audible.com homepage, you will see a message stating the $20 double rewards credit will be added to your account on 12/6. YMMV, but you will get the free audiobooks! Some of them are voiced by actors like Anne Hathaway and Elijah Wood.

Wow.. that's quite a lot of work. I tried it with one book and it appears to work, not sure if I'll bother doing the rest to get the $20 credit. Audible is nice, I've been using it on and off for over 5 years. My only complaint is that you need iTunes to burn it to CD.

you can use NERO v9 and earlier to burn to CD, or vitual CD them rip to mp3. But that's a bit much for you itunes people.

It doesn't really take that long to do. As stated, just pop each book out into a new tab, then go across them all and hit "buy now", then "buy on Audible". You can then close out all the tabs, checkout on audible, and you're done. As the purchase doesn't involve any money, it doesn't ask you for a credit card.

I just download them from the library for free. I've done over 500 in the past 5 or 6 years.
