Are you sure that it works with the online purchase? The rebate says that it is valid for only in-store purchases.

For online or telephone purchases, you must include a copy of the UPC.

Nice, I liked the old style 89 better though--the new one looks like a robot puked out the design.

Most likely a great calculator for future bowling alley attendants, crack dealers, and convenience store clerks. If you need a calculator for any serious academia the HP's with RPN capabilities are far superior. TI is basically the Sansa of handheld calculators.

Create your own game on these TI's. They are kinda slow though to play games on.

Office Depot and Office Max also have inkjet recycling programs which give you $3 off per empty cartridge. You can redeem up to 3 per day at Office Depot and up to 5 at Office Max. This could bring your total cost for the TI-83 down to $41 - not a bad price for this calculator.

The recycling program is great for small purchases. I just picked up a 4GB Toshiba USB flash drive at Office Max. Priced on sale for $29, it dropped to $14 with 5 inkjet cartridges.

TI-89 is great for those calculus classes you take. I had a 86 but the 89 really does have some great functions that will make your life easier. Better interface.
