    The extended version will come out once all the fans have bought this version. Then they get to buy it again.

    This is not an accident. It's is planned.

    Happy Holiday shopping.

    Ha, ha, not me. I've got the extended versions on DVD, and that's what I'm sticking with.

    #2's right. Just crooked marketing as there is no reason to even make this set without the extended version. I'll also stick with my DVD version.

    This is a waste. I have watched these and would absolutely rather just upconvert the extended DVD versions until the extended Blu-ray disks come out. I did not remember just how much is left out of the theatrical releases.

    #8 how can you tell this is just a upconverted DVD version? It says BlueRay, they would never cheat us. ;}

    No way I'll buy the Blu-Ray until they release the extended edition on Blu-Ray.

    Smeagol wouldn't buy this. It would be like be buying the plastic version of Precious made in China. The Extended Version of Precious would be considered the real thing.

    you would think they already made their money back plus enough profit to finance a few turkeys with all the crap they try to push down our throats. I am not even sure I want the version as envisioned by Peter Jackson.
