These will zip into other shell jackets that have the 2nd inner zipper for a liner.

i have this jacket and TNF Pumori jacket, both made from Polartec fleece which is really soft, warm and stands up well to washing. I personally prefer the Pumori ($100 retail, i got for $50) over Denali because it's lighter (200 weight vs 300), and make a better layering piece. Like some others said you cant really wear these jackets without a shell in windy conditions, so no need really for a 300 weight bulky fleece.

this is a fantastic deal. these go normally for $165+

not to mention, REI has a 100% no questions asked return policy. If you're a member also (~$20 one time fee) they keep track of all your orders going back years so if you have problems, there's no arguing with them. Not to mention you get a dividend check every year based on a percentage of what you've purchased.

This is a stupid simple deal. Granted TNF is overpriced normally (not on this deal) but it's worth it. When it wears out in 5 years as previous commenter said, take it back to them and they'll give you a brand new one. Trust me, I did it last year

Too bad this jacket became more about fashion than what it was intended for. I have been wearing the same Denali for years when I go hiking and climbing. Great for layering under a hard shell or by itself. Great price for this, I would have paid $200 for mine when I got it back in '03

You douchebags can harp all you want. Good gear costs money. This is a solid product. if you want crap, go to Old Navy. Then you can brag to your douchbag friends about how you're smarter than everyone else. If you want quality, go to REI or EMS but don't complain that it costs too much. Incidentally, EMS is running a 25% off sale, and their gear lasts forever (and has a lifetime warranty to boot).

I paid $95 for an EMS windpro jacket 6 years ago, and during cold seasons I wear it day in and day out zipped into a shell, and it performs great that way or by itself. Cuts out the wind completely.
