A "Hoser" is a Canadian colloquial term used to refer to the losers of a hockey game before Zamboni Machines were invented. The "Hosers" (losers) have the duty of reconditioning the rink after the game which includes hosing down the ice playing surface, thus, being known as a "Hoser".

It's a bit odd for Ben's Bargains to feature such an item. Unusual because they seem to only feature Homer Simpson oriented life style items like nut hugger jeans, men's rings, and MrHat approved boy toy workout shirts. I suppose this comes from the San Francisco/9th Circuit Court life style roots of this site where being a girly man is viewed as par for the course...
