we have this card for a few years. it's been working out very nice for us. the hotel booking is extremely easy. we had stayed in San Diego, New York City, Boston, Seoul, Vancouver, Victoria. Never have a problem with any dates that we want.

#1 Did you have to pay the annual fee after the first year? or did you just threaten to cancel the card?
we have to pay $30 each year (at least last time we paid was $30). I think it is well worth it.
