The first one was awesome. The next 2 were ok but I don't think I'd ever get the urge to sit down and watch them again...
The stupid idea that machines harvest people for energy was so they could do a Duracell product placement. It ruined the story.
I thought a better idea was to harvest humans for their brain power during dream state. The machines figured out that the "real" universe was also a matrix built by God(or whatever) and they were trying to break out if it themselves. In the end, Neo would have to agree to help them because machine intelligence was not good enough to do the trick. Human intuition was needed to break out of the "real" matrix so they could get to God(or whatever).
