NewEgg.com has the Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U USB & eSATA Docking Station for $40 - $10 rebate [Exp 1/31] = $30 with free shipping. Slam your hard drive into it to make it into a USB external hard drive. Check out this quick look at how it functions.

Was literally just looking at this before visiting Ben's today. My only concern is the spec saying it supports all drives up to 1TB when I've also been looking at a new 1.5 TB drive. Does anyone know if this actually supports the larger drives?

I have one of these, got from the New Year Sale at RadioShack for $10 AR. It works with both 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch SATA drives. You can connect to it with USB port or eSATA port. It's very handy when you want to test/use multiple drives. You can hot-swap the drives without problem.

can anyone explain where the limitation lies in a hard drive enclosure that limits size of the hard drive? i know that SATA II or 32-bit systems could, but what about an enclosure would matter?
