#15 i have several of the "crap" usb adapters from diff mfg. they can be a bit cranky to use sometimes but are very handy, u can often see them listed here for around 12-15 bucks. the 2.5, 3.5 IDE/SATA model i got last time seems to work pretty good, but i forget where it was on sale, prob meritline or pcmicrostore. usually when i have trouble with one i have to uninstall the usb hubs listed in control panel/system/hardware devices and let them reinstall themselves before the problem will clear up
My hard drive likes vertical orientation. Variety is the spice of life...
how well does this work? i would think an exposed hard drive is pretty dangerous for the data?
#13, you should worry about the drive being naked in public eyes, instead of its orientation.
these work great, got one for home, and then liked it so much, set up a cheapo backup solution at work with another one.
Too bad it is not eSATA version.Free shipping only if you ship to Radio Shack store not to your home...
