how well do there really work?
#3, they work fine and come in handy for PC techs who need to swap hard drives in and out. The eSata models are obviously faster than the USB ones.

Works like a charm! I love the convenience of swapping out drives and not have to deal with big enclosures.
I agree it is a great deal for someone that works on PCs. I am always loading a virus filled harddrive into my fixit machine to clean the infections. This would make it quicker, no need to open the case.
Hold out for eSata, unless all you care about is the convenience.

why not get one of those ide/sata to usb connectors if you're looking for a temporary solution. they're $13 on ebáy.

this is a very convenient way to swap drives. just plug the drive in, no having to wire things. very quick. i like mine a lot.
Great item to have for quick swapping. I use mine to clone to for backup purposes. Works great.
I slam mine into a stack of CDRs and make believe like I'm playing high-tech Pogs.
I got the esata one, big difference and it still has usb for those without the esata but great thing to keep in mind for the future when its usb 3.0 n esata
definitely wait for esata. even better would be having two interfaces.
