I had this for a long time, it worked perfectly for 5 years then I destroyed it and the system by installing memory in the dark and turning the computer on with it jammed in the wrong way. So much for short circuit/overload protection. Still a good buy I guess since that's all my fault. Weird they still make the exact same PSU for the exact same price, only adding core i7 compliant to the title.

Actually these have dual slow fans, so more often that's not the case, while checking the first 5 pages (latest by date), and the 3-4 Stars don't seem to say noisy, actually say it surprisingly quite. I used two of these before and haven't had an issue with either in the time I had them.
    Has a 5-Y warranty.

maybe you should try the thermaltake 650w modular power supply instead... found this deal while browsing on newegg combo page:
$64.99 (after $25MIR) with a $15.99 combo savings which makes the patriot 4GB flash drive free....

I own two of this 430watts. Been over a year already, runs very quite. 18 bucks A/R is a steal, I paid more than that. Thermaltake is saying, This power supply will last 5 years or more and they are backing it up with the Warantee if it quit..

#5 I think this is a better deal, I already own one, I'am using this power supply to type this and I can't hear fan spin. I got this as a combo deal, and paid only 25 for this PSU A/R Nice..
