#1 -- Egg gave me a $25 shipping ouch, and I'm in the LA basin. How's your deal work?
I say Sign-up for "Bill Me Later" you'll get $10 more off. That would make it $60 delivered vs. Egg at $85 delivered (no tax inc. although the same in CA of 8.25% or 9.75% for Alameda County)
Finally I only need to wait on a $10 rebate.

Not sure how anyone would benefit from your torrid outburst without some back-up. I hadn't heard any bad rap on “Bill Me Later” other than if you can't or don't pay they auto sign you up for CC with high interest.

It goes without saying, normal folk who sign-up should be intelligent enough to read the fine print and understand the consequences'.

It sounds like you signed-up, while not really comprehending the program… I'm sure that hurt? Thanks for the heads up!

Actually my inquisitiveness has me searching and it appears to have the normal amount of discord and issues as with anything involving finance. Caveat Emptor!

CrustyMc, didn't mean to sound like I was rattling your cage.
Yea, Newegg's case shipping rates are despicable. If they aren't bundling the free shipping “in the deal” you really pay through the nose. The problem is damage in transited is factor into what their normal charge, basically factoring in their own loss insurance. If you take standard ‘girth x weight' for UPS ground Newegg bumps it close to 40%. The problem is sometimes UPS's fault, however most often it is due to cheap China cardboard and insufficient packaging buffers. In old days you'd buy a case and most reputable E-sites double boxed it with and extra layer of foam core because packaging was not at all UPS rated for cheap cases. What stink's is the guys stepping up for high quality Lian Li, Antec, Gigabyte in acceptable packaging appear to be underwriting for all the scratch and dents that would mostly come from multitude of bargain Rosewill, Raidmax and Xoix that more often have free shipping.
