Looks nice, and if cost were no object I'd have one of these (or something similar) for my HTPC project. But since I'm way too cheap I just go for a basic tower, just like most people.

I bought this case a year ago (for slightly less $)for my htpc. I am extremely pleased with it. I use my htpc for gaming, and this case can fit current powerful full sized video cards, which was key for me. I replaced the 60 mm fans with yate loons as they are much quieter than the stock fans. It also perfectly fits the sizeable scythe zipang heat sink. Aesthetically, it fits my Home theater well.

Any suggestions on an inexpensive desktop case that would make a good media pc? I want full height add in cards and standard power supply. ATX or mATX. Prob go with a 780G board but may want to add video card, tuner, etc., and don't want to be limited to half height only. Very compact would be nice but seems to require too many compromises.

#5 - Has everything?...please. Except PCI slots, limited configurability options, and ability to run VMC, to name a few.

Why not a PS3? Because I will never buy a sony product. They crapped all over their customers with that root kit fiasco. I will never buy another product from them. I even try to avoid movies produced by them.

It is a VFD, not LCD. Here you go:
