Sounds like a great deal, anyone have experience with how silent it really is? Could be great for a myth box
i had this PSU in my old PC. it was silent for about 5months then something happened and it started moaning.
i would not buy thermaltake again. i'm sticking to OCZ.
Good deal. I am for one.
Like all cheap PSU with 12cm sleeve fans you should do three things.
1) Forget about the warranty, if it fails then the cost to ship it back and get another that is expected to also fail wouldn't make it worth the bother.
2) Having forgotten the warranty, pop it open and pre-emptively lube the fan with the really thick oil.
3) Every 18 months, relube it. Another alternative is to just replace the fan with a quality dual ball bearing fan instead, which'll cost up to half the price of the PSU if not more.
Oh yeah, as always factor for it's so-so capabilities, for use in moderately endowed system not a monster overclocked SLI'd gaming rig. Within that context it's a good deal even though the rebate is on the large side.
