#2, the X61s use different processor (L series) which they claim less power comsume for better battery life. And the LCD is claimed brighter than the X61 as well

The X61 is awesome. I am thinking getting this X61s for my wife but she leans toward netbooks... and however, this thing is now more Lenovo and less Thinkpad...

      #5, why did you laugh?

#6 if you dont get the probs with windows nevermind. Windows 7 is just an attempt to forget how bad vista is.

#4 & #6, he said LOL, because when have you EVER seen MS deliver an operating system without being at least a year delayed, and then only by cutting promised features. And then you can count on hundreds of bugs until at least a second or third version release, which will take another year or two.

By the time Windows 7 comes out hardware oversupply should be done and prices back up. The next 3 months is the sweet spot for buying hardware.

Hate all you want on MS but 7 is going to stop OSX growth. No one gives a baconnaise about linux.

my x61 started freezing after 8 months use.

Spend your money on a HP Pavilion laptop.
