Since I already have TIVO Lifetime Subscription, does anyone know if I can get the rebate if I add this on to my existing account using TIVO's $6.95 monthly plan for addtional TIVOs?

Lite-On is coming out with a DivX PVR with built-in DVDR and a 320GB hard drive that I'm waiting on.

You all should check out replayTV's. They're amazing with customer service, and always have good deals.

Please excuse my earlier, dumb ass comments, and let me say that my deal was much better. I was just too stupid to read the product description here.

So how do you get a yr of service at $13/montht? On the Tivo site it looks like $20/mo for 1 yr and you have to take 3 yrs to get $13.

Check out the Panasonic DMR-EH75V for a subscription free DVR system. I bought this to time shift shows from my limited basic cable service. Not as many features as TIVO, but then again no one is monitoring your viewing habits either.

I have a series 1 and a series 2. The series 2 has some nice features over the series 1 (I really like Tivbacono-go), but the user interface is much slower than the series 1. It's actually a bit annoying.

#27, you can opt out of the viewing habits monitoring. However, they don't log your viewing habits with your box or your identity. They could but they don't.

Does anyone know if you need to have any special knowledge to hook one of these up to a tv that has both cable/satellite? Thanks.

#22, I am pretty sure that it should work, I got a free refurbed box if I prepaid for 1 year but since I had tivo lifetime already they just deduct $7 a month instead of $13.

#26 if you buy it from tivo then that the packages they offer but with those the box is included. if you purchase the box then you just pay the $13 subscription cuz the box is already paid for.

Personally I have a 340 hour tivo, but would love a DT in it. It is amazing how TV changed after getting Tivo!
