This lens is awesome, best built quality out of ANY crop sensor lenses made by Nikon or Canon. Also super sharp and if i'm not mistaking, the fastest ultrawide angle currently available for crop sensors. I use mine for indoor events and concert, perfect lens for that.
#1 It will not be the fastest ultrawide lens available pretty soon- The DX II is already announced and will be available this summer - the key improvement over DX ( current one) is the speed. But I really don't know if that speed is that critical - anyway it is only 11-16 not telephoto lens. And most of the Ultrawide lens are for landscape not for fast action target... http://nikonrumors.com/2012/01/26/new-tokina-at-x-11-16-f2-8-pro-dx-%E2%85%A1-lens-announced.aspx/ Time to clean up version I and welcome version II.
Well I meant fast as in aperture, but yeah I saw the version 2. Too bad it's like $1000+, Think I might keep version 1 for low light and get the sigma 8-16mm for that 8mm goodness.
Actually if you look at the MSRP price both of them are 90,000. Maybe DXII start selling price will be higher but eventually it will drop to some price point similar to DX regular price. So let's wait and see Have a nice weekend!

Can I use this lens with my Canon T2i. Since the T2i is a crop sensor would the performance or specifications of the lens change at all?
This lens is made for crop sensor, so yes it will work fine. Just make sure you get the Canon version because the one linked is for Nikon.
Goob, it is designed specifically for crop sensors
