It was available most of the morning, but it was 89.99.

I don't think the price dropped til it went OOS.

Shaka, it's also available at amazon for the same price.

Keep in mind an updated map will cost you $100. If this thing ships with an outdated map the price has more than doubled before you plug it in.

the original price is 89.99 and is now $77.00. so it's not a great deal.

this thing sucks. takes too long to get a signal. i returned mine and got a garmin nuvi. maybe that's why they're so many refurbished ones for all the people who returned theirs cause its $hitty haha

I prefer TomTom's interface better than the Nuvi's, but the Nuvi has better software overall.

to second #4, refurbed tomtoms do ship with outdated maps, which also means that if you call them for support, they will not help you besides saying that you need to pay to upgrade your map.

      No text to speech
      Slow route calc.
Believe there is a free map upgrade included.

I wouldn't get one I had to pay to update... negates the deal. If it was one.

I bought one 6 months ago and it came with an outdated map. I just called them up, told them it was refurb and I just bought it. I had to e-mail them my receipt, but they added the most recent map to my account for free.

I bought a couple of these last year. They were called "refurb" by Buy.com back then, but I was able to go online and download a current map for each of them. They work great, lock onto the sats in about 1 minute (if they have been turned off a long time). You can download alternate voices; my teen daughter loves Austin Powers telling me "You've arrived at your destination! Grooovvvy Baby!"
