these GPS units are SO out dated. Even if you update them, they're still really slow, and takes anywhere from 2min-5min to sync with the sat. Don't waste your money. Get a Garmin Nuvi or a Magellan.
Funny you say that I bought this TomTom one because my other tomtom one 2nd syncs up super fast, my Garmin Nuvi 260w sucks it never hardly gets a signal even on a sunny day it has to be on the dash and still takes 10 minutes. i have upgraded the firmware and maps it doesn't help.
I have one and it works fine, especially since anything significantly better will cost about twice as much. In regards to taking a long time to sync, I just occasionally hook it up to my computer to download the sat position updates and it works fine.
the Tomtom sat updates or the Garmin? I'm having trouble wiht garmin even on sunny days getting a signal.
