All GPS units have issues. My Garmin (200W) would almost always take up to 15 minutes to acquire a satellite signal. The kicker was when several times it would completely fail to lock on at all even when I was standing outside in open ground. I then bought a TomTom One, and never had that problem (although at times it'll take about 10 min. to acquire a lock). I also have a Sony GPS (all now discontinued) and it was best at spinning up, but it recommended odd routes at times. Oh yeah, and they all sucked battery life like there's no tomorrow. Overall: I'd go with the TomTom.
garmin all the way. stay away from tom tom
My cheap TomTom gps hasn't got me lost yet
Garmin does have better interface and options
I like my TomTom, it makes me lazy
garmin is better one
