buy Garmin NUVI!... wins in shoot outs
"Refurbished" electronics? I would stay away. You can never find the exactly what was wrong with all the circuitry. I rather pay a little bit more for a brand new electronic products to ensure the warranty and avoid further headaches.
#2 Never had a problem. My personal, pulled out of my ass, unsubstantiated opinion is that they may well not be refurbished, just overstock that they cannot sell at retail but they don't want to cannibalize what retail sales they may still get by dropping the price. Anyway, refurbs have always been very very good to me.
#2 Purchased a TomTom refurb about two years ago and it is still going strong. Paid less than half the price too and still had free map update. In fact I have started buying refurb on just about everything electronic and never had a problem.
