Is there a monthly subscription that goes along with this? What are people's thoughts on TomTom vs Garmin. I have only used a Garmin once and I liked it.
I've used Garmin, HP, and now have a TomTom. I have the cheapo One 130S. Get my maps free from forum.mobilism.org (you run it thru some software, but it's free). I like my TomTom, sometimes the route it comes up with is weird, as it likes your destination to be on the right side of the street, so it'll make you go around the block, instead of having you making a left across a busy street. I like how Garmin tells you what side of the street your destination is on. But the end point on my TomTom shows which side of the street your destination is on. Never had a reception prob with my TomTom, works well inside too, my Garmin didn't.
