I have a TomTom XXL 540s with traffic ready but not included the traffic receiver. TomTom get their satellite signal quite fast, usually with 5 seconds when I am in a open parking lot. I have an old MIO GPS with has greater road details (e more side street names). The TomTom has only 1 street ahead name and that is it.
Some TomTom do not have SD slot so where are you going to store the extra maps update. Assuming that your GPS battery will last long enough to obtain all the maps update to make it worth your while to obtain the lifetime map update.
Seems like a heck of a deal. Anybody have any experience with these TomToms?
no lifetime traffic update though. that's why it's cheap.
I like them better compared to the Garmins. You do need to update if you want to get a satellite quicker.
I think mine is great. w/traffic , add 10 $
It appears a lot of GPS companies are including a lot of lifetime map upgrades-- bout' time.
