      i can't see any difference between 1080 and 720 in 32". would it be noticeable with pc connectted to tv?

      From what I've heard, yes. Definitely not with HDTV at that size, but as a monitor, you'll get some big differences there.

      Still, I'm seeing Panasonics for around $380 at 32", not sure I'd spend more on a Toshiba (though maybe this is a good model, what do I know?).

      #2 is right. With PC connection, you will see a difference between a 1080p set and a 720p set.
      For normal TV viewing, it is hardly noticeable.
